Unfortunately the majority of turtles are now endangered (6 of the 7 species). Sea turtles are crucial to the health of our marine ecosystems, being vitally important in maintaining coral reefs & seagrass beds. Turtles have survived for the last 100 million years, but are now threatened by fishing nets, plastics in the sea, habitat loss and climate change. These awesome creatures really need our help.
