The Brand That Saves Wildlife

The clothes we wear reflect who we are, who we want to be and the things we want to say 💚

Hello! We are Steve & Julie, founders of Blue Panda. Thank you so much for visiting us...

At the heart of Blue Panda is the idea that we can all make a difference. Our aim is to support wildlife & conservation efforts around the world by supporting a number of different charities relating to our designs. We donate 15% of our profits to charity and we are so thankful to our amazing customers for making this possible!

Based in Bournemouth

Living by the sea we have always felt a strong connection to the ocean and many of our designs reflect this passion. You can see how we're influenced by the animals & the places we love, & where we feel most at home.

We're a little bit obsessed with sustainability - thinking about the entire product, where it comes from & what happens next. As individuals, all of us have an impact, & for us as a business we take this responsibility to heart. We source our products carefully, choosing organic & recycled materials whenever possible.  For our printed designs we use eco-friendly inks.

We support organic farming - saving water & saving lives

Organic cotton farming is healthier for the farmers, the soil and our skin. It's pesticide free - helping wildlife & creating safer working conditions. Organic cotton is mostly rain-fed, reducing the pressure on the local water supplies & helping to protect the farming communities. As an example, if you choose an organic t-shirt today, instead of a conventional cotton one, you’re saving approximately 2457 litres of water! It sounds unbelievable, but it's totally true.

Saving animals & supporting conservation

Many of the animals we love are facing uncertain futures and we wanted to do something to help.  As well as working directly with wildlife & conservation charities, we also donate via the Work For Good platform. This is a great way for small businesses to support lots of different charities.

Slow fashion made-to-order & shipped plastic-free

All our designs are created, embroidered & printed in our studio & when you shop with us, we will produce your item especially for you. This reduces our energy usage & reduces waste as we only make items that our customers will wear & use. Your order will be delivered plastic-free, of course.

We love planting trees

We are passionate about trees!  Planting trees is crucial as we fight climate change. Plus trees make us all happier & healthier. Check out One Tree Planted to see the amazing work they do.

Our ethical & sustainable clothing is made for a life of adventure & with hope for a better world!

That says it all really - ethically made products, built to last the many adventures ahead. Designed to inspire positive change & to raise awareness of the issues facing our planet.

Join us on our mission - together we can save animals, plant trees, clean up our oceans & support vital conservation efforts for the world we all share.

Every choice we make has an impact - let's make it a good one 💚

Sustainability information for our garments 💚

GOTS Certified Organic Cotton Clothing (100% organic cotton t-shirts, 85% organic cotton & 15% recycled polyester hoodies & sweatshirts)

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, backed up by independent third-party certification of the entire textile supply chain.
This means that the cotton used for these garments is traceable from the original seeds right through to the finished product.  Products carrying the GOTS symbol have met strict criteria throughout the growth and manufacturing process. This includes both environmental & social criteria.  When you see the GOTS symbol you can be sure the cotton has been grown ethically & organically from start to finish.

OCS Certified Organic Cotton (Organic beanies)

Our Organic Beanies contain 100% OCS certified organically grown cotton, certified by Control Union CU811033.

The Organic Content Standard (OCS) applies to any non-food product containing 95-100 percent organic material. It verifies the presence and amount of organic material in a final product and tracks the flow of the raw material from its source to the final product.

💚 Ethically Produced Products (Denim Caps & Recycled Backpacks)

Our denim cotton caps are currently made with conventional cotton, rather than organic, but we are looking to switch to organic denim as soon as this becomes available.

In the meantime, these caps are made by a manufacturer that is committed to upholding the highest ethical & environmental standards throughout their entire supply chain.  This ethical policy protects & rewards every person involved in the manufacture & supply of these products & expressly forbids the use of forced labour, including child workers.  Field-based staff carry out audits to ensure these high ethical standards are consistently met.

Our recycled backpacks are made from certified recycled polyester (Global Recycled Standard). These are sourced from a trusted UK supplier & are manufactured ethically in audited factories.  Each bag is made from approx 6 post-consumer plastic bottles.

Truckers Caps

Our truckers caps are made from 60% polyester (not recycled yet) & 40% cotton - we are committed to finding a more sustainable option for this range.
