If you're lucky enough to have seen these creatures in their natural habitat it's a memory that will stay with you forever. Turtles are loved by so many of us, and they seem to have a unique quality that reduces our feelings of stress, relaxing us and helping us feel more connected to the ocean. Just thinking about turtles makes us feel happy.
Unfortunately the majority of turtles are now endangered (6 of the 7 species). Sea turtles are crucial to the health of our marine ecosystems, being vitally important in maintaining coral reefs & seagrass beds. Turtles have survived for the last 100 million years, but are now threatened by fishing nets, plastics in the sea, habitat loss and climate change. These awesome creatures really need our help.

"I’ve always loved animals & have been drawing them as far back as I can recall, dragging wildlife encyclopedias around with me as a small child.
Rediscovering this passion as an adult brings me full circle & I love the fact that I’m able to keep the entire process in-house.
From a simple sketch I can bring the animal to life with the use of stitch types, angles & thread colour choices - embroidery digitizing is an art in itself & I absolutely love doing this part of the process.
With each design I try to capture the spirit of the animal and I hope you can feel this too."
