These tree-dwelling mammals spend most of their lives hanging motionless or moving in their unique, slow manner from branch-to-branch. They feed, sleep, rest, mate and even give birth in trees. Sloths eat very little food as it takes them so long to digest it with their incredibly slow metabolism. These gorgeous & endearing animals are sadly endangered, with the pygmy three-toed sloth being considered critically so and at the greatest risk of extinction.

"I’ve always loved animals & have been drawing them as far back as I can recall, dragging wildlife encyclopedias around with me as a small child.
Rediscovering this passion as an adult brings me full circle & I love the fact that I’m able to keep the entire process in-house.
From a simple sketch I can bring the animal to life with the use of stitch types, angles & thread colour choices - embroidery digitizing is an art in itself & I absolutely love doing this part of the process.
With each design I try to capture the spirit of the animal and I hope you can feel this too."
