"TSI was founded in 2014 by Sam Trull and Seda Sejud. The partnership was born out of a love for sloths and desire to ensure their conservation.
The Sloth Institute (TSI)’s mission is to enhance and expand the welfare and conservation of sloths." They rescue injured & orphaned sloths with the aim of eventually returning them to the wild.
An amazing school-like system is used. The young sloths are taught vital skills that they need to master before they can return to their natural habitat.
This incredible approach has resulted in 90% of the sloths in their care returning successfully to the wild.
