As seen on the BBC! Our little Mallard Duck Baseball Cap is made for a life of adventure and escapism.
THIS CAP SAVES OUR BRITISH WILDLIFE 🦆. For every sale of this cap, 15% of the profits will be donated to Dorset Wildlife Trust.
With their beautiful coloured feathers, mallard ducks are the most recognisable wild ducks in the Northern Hemisphere. Found near water where they feed on plants, fish, insects & invertebrates, they eat by dipping underwater with their feet & tails in the air. The males are the colourful ones whereas the females have duller mottled brown feathers.
Twice a year ducks moult, losing their flight feathers & grounding them for a few weeks until they grow again. They fly in flocks, in the famous V formation like most migratory birds, in search of warmer weather. Little ducklings are able to run, swim and find food from their second day and can be seen following their mother in sweet little line. Ducklings are a wonderful sign of spring and new beginnings, their lovely yellow colour reminding us of brighter days to come.
